With its historic buildings, numerous half-timbered houses and cozy alleyways, Kork is a gem and our Hotel Landgasthof Schwanen is located in the middle of this romantic town. Our hotel itself has been welcoming guests for over a quarter of a millennium and thus embodies part of the town's history. Even though Kork itself is a place where life is worth living and invites you to linger, we would like to encourage you to explore the beautiful area around Kork, because Kork is an ideal starting point for excursions to the Black Forest or Alsace.

Explore the Baden or Alsace Wine Route, the Vosges Mountains, or drive along the famous Black Forest High Road. Kehl, with its “Garden of Two Banks” winding along the Rhine, is only 5 km from Kork, and many other interesting cities can be reached from Kork in no time. The European capital of Strasbourg is just a stone's throw away and can be reached directly from Kork in around 10 minutes by tram. A worthwhile detour will certainly take you to one of the most beautiful towns in the region: Gegenbach near Offenburg with its historic old town and many sights, and Baden-Baden and Freiburg with their student flair are also not far away.

Nature and sports enthusiasts will feel at home in the numerous forests in the surrounding area. Several swimming pools and lakes invite you to cool off on hot days, and well-signposted cycle paths are ideal for long bike rides. Strasbourg can also be reached via a beautiful cycle path. If you don't have your own bike with you, you are welcome to use one of our hotel bikes, subject to availability.
