With its numerous historic half-timbered houses, Kork is a gem in the heart of the Hanauerland region. Kehl with the "Garden of the Two Banks", which meanders along the Rhine, is only 5 km away from Kork and many other interesting cities can be reached from Kork within a very short time. The European capital Strasbourg, for example, is only a stone's throw away and can be reached directly from Kork in about 15 minutes by suburban train. A worthwhile side trip certainly leads to one of the most beautiful towns in the region: Gegenbach near Offenburg with its historic old town and many other sights. Also the cities Baden-Baden and Fribourg with its student flair are not far away.
